After a two and a half hour drive through the most quaint chocolate box villages we finally arrived in Dunwich. It's quite a drive especially with a sat nav which enjoys taking me through the narrowest most winding roads possible. We were greeted at the Ship Inn,Dunwich with crowds of people milling around the only street enjoying a rare glimpse of sunshine. Sitting with drinks we took in the atmosphere of this previous coastal smugglers inn. Our attic room was a delight, small but tastily furnished and most of all just as I like it,'cosy'! After settling in we went for a stroll on the shingle beach not two minutes walk away. Glad to have taken our coats it was still a delight to hear and smell the sea and also an ideal time to choose a few interesting pebbles for the window ledge!

In the evening we had a lovely meal, of course freshly caught fish and the local brew, Adnams Southwold Bitter. The Inn really lived up to it's recommendation it received in the Guardian travel supplement.The next day we moved on to Southwold.

ReplyDeleteInvestigated mobile blogger. If you don't have a sony ericcson and/or you are not on the orange network you cannot construct your blog from your phone. It becomes quite complex and possibly costly. So I shall probably have to do mine using my ipod as usual, and add photos when we get back. Having said that I'm still working on a solution.
